NEW DELHI: Campbell Wilson, selected by the Tata Group as Managing Director and CEO of Air India, has worked in the airline industry for 26 years. The Tata Group had previously selected former Turkish Airlines Chairman Ilker Ayci – a confidant of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is not exactly known to be a friend of India – as AI MD & CEO. Later, Ayci refused to accept this offer, prompting the Tata Group to launch a new CEO hunt.
